1. What is NowUCme?
NowUCme is a mobile app that helps users discover nearby people in real-time and instantly exchange social media profiles. It's perfect for use at events, meetups, tech fests, conferences, and networking sessions.
2. Is NowUCme launched?
The app is currently in the final development and testing phase. We are planning a public launch soon. Early access and beta invitations will be provided to selected users.
3. How does the nearby discovery work?
When "Discover Mode" is enabled in the app:
- Your encrypted location is sent to our server.
- You can see users who are within 50 meters and have also enabled discover mode.
- You can instantly view their social media profiles.
- Once you turn off discover mode, your location stops being shared.
4. Is my exact location shown to others?
No. Your exact GPS location is never shared.
Other users see only approximate distance (e.g., "50m away"), not your live coordinates.
5. What information do other users see?
Only when discover mode is enabled:
- Your name
- Profile picture (optional)
- Social media usernames (optional)
- Approximate distance
Once discover mode is turned off, this information becomes invisible.
6. On which platforms is NowUCme available?
📲 iOS and Android versions are ready.
The app will be available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store after the public launch.
7. Do I need internet and GPS to use the app?
Yes. Internet and GPS permissions are required for real-time discovery and social profile exchange.
8. Can I choose who can discover me?
Yes. You are only visible:
- When discover mode is turned ON
- To users who are also nearby and in discovery mode
9. How is my data protected?
- Passwords are encrypted (bcrypt)
- Database is secured
- HTTPS/SSL encryption is used
- Location data auto-deletes after 24 hours
- No data is sold or shared with third parties

10. Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. You can delete your account anytime from the app settings. All your data is permanently erased within 30 days.
